Biel Technical College Competition: the 2026 winners rewarded

As every year, Capvest Group, through the Ehden Philanthropic Fund, was pleased to sponsor the project competition at the Biel Technical College (Lycée technique CFP), a competition that celebrates the talent and creativity of future mechanics and electronics professionals.

Four remarkable projects

After evaluation by the jury, here is the ranking of the four projects competing this year:

🥇 First prize was awarded to the My Little Phone project, a small touchscreen device that combines several practical everyday functions, such as time display, an alarm, or image viewing, all in a compact and easy-to-use housing.

🥈 Second prize was awarded to the Reaction Game project, an electronic game where the player must touch randomly lit sensors as quickly as possible, similar to an arcade game, to test and improve their reflexes.

🥉 Third prize was awarded to the 6-Cylinder Pneumatic Engine project, a miniature and fully functional replica of an aircraft engine, entirely handcrafted and genuinely powered by compressed air, a feat that demonstrates perfect mastery of precision machining.

🏆 The audience award was given to the Pneumatic Vice project, a tool that automatically clamps and releases a workpiece at the push of a button using compressed air, with a mechanism more compact and reliable than existing models on the market.
