A new CUF hospital to strengthen the healthcare offer
Scheduled for completion in 2028, this new hospital will strengthen the region’s healthcare offer and contribute to its economic development. The hospital will reinforce the CUF Barreiro Clinic, already in full operation and currently located temporarily in the city center.
The opening of this hospital will bring many benefits to the people of Barreiro. Firstly, it will contribute to the creation of 300 direct jobs, strengthening the local economic dynamism. Secondly, it will give residents easier access to quality medical care without having to travel to Lisbon, reducing waiting times for consultations and specialist examinations.
