Capvest and Yann Arthus-Bertrand: “Le Valais, un album de famille”

| As part of the “Vivre Ensemble” photography exhibition organized by the Crans-Montana Biennale for winter 2026/2027, Yann Arthus-Bertrand will create an album capturing the diversity of the societies, associations, families and unions that bring the people of Valais together. These portraits will be displayed in the streets and public spaces of Crans-Montana from January to March, free of charge.
In parallel, Yann Arthus-Bertrand and the Crans-Montana Biennale will publish, by the end of the year, a memorial book entitled “Le Valais, un album de famille” (“Valais, a Family Album”). It will be published by éditions PM Favre under the direction of the Fondation Opale, to which the Crans-Montana Biennale has entrusted the editorial project. The artist is taking part in the project on a voluntary basis and is waiving his copyright on the photographs, an important contribution to the production of this book, whose sales proceeds will be donated to benefit the victims of the Crans-Montana tragedy. Capvest Group has contributed to the realization of this beautiful artistic and charitable project. In this spirit, Capvest’s management and the team working on the development of two real estate projects in the canton of Valais had the honor of posing in front of the lens of the renowned photographer. The result: a magnificent photograph, full of humanity, that will take its place in the book alongside the other portraits, and that we are very pleased to share here. We would like to pay particular tribute to Ms. Sandra Burrus, Co-President of the association La Biennale de Crans-Montana, whose energy and enthusiasm are bringing this magnificent project to life. |
