Verónica Pires speaks at the University of Lisbon

Verónica Pires, project manager and architect at Capvest Portugal, was recently welcomed as a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon.
Teaching architecture and building renovation
Throughout the semester, she worked with third-year students, providing support and advice on their practical projects. This support was provided as part of a course designed to teach all students, regardless of their master’s degree choice, the principles, knowledge, and approach specific to architecture taught in the specialized master’s degree in interior design and building renovation, in order to complement and enrich their general education.
Conveying the values of sustainable architecture and masterful detail
In her presentations, Verónica Pires emphasized the importance of architectural detail in the quality of spaces, or how light, materials, colors, textures, and reflections contribute to creating coherent and lively places.
In order to raise students’ awareness of the importance of sustainable development, the course also covered the basics of building conservation, restoration, and renovation, emphasizing the importance of reusing existing structures and materials in the design of new projects.
A collaboration that reflects Capvest’s commitments
Through this teaching experience, Verónica Pires fully illustrates Capvest’s values: combining architectural design, creativity, and sustainability to create innovative projects that are adapted to their environment and designed for the well-being of future residents.
