Energy Act (LEn): Exemption from supplementary property tax for 20 years

In order to promote this energy transition and optimize its effectiveness, the construction or renovation of buildings that meet HPE/THPE criteria benefit from an additional tax exemption for a period of 20 years. On the other hand, any project carried out without authorization and which does not show an economical and rational use of energy may be liable to a maximum fine of CHF 60,000. The aim of this measure is to encourage responsible behavior and encourage the industry to adopt sustainable, environmentally-friendly energy practices.

As an incentive, and to make the energy transition more efficient, buildings built or renovated to HPE/THPE standards are exempt from additional property tax for 20 years. On the other hand, any building undertaken without authorization and not demonstrating an economical and rational use of energy can be fined up to a maximum of CHF 60,000.

At Capvest, we are proud to offer innovative, environmentally-friendly projects for sale, such as our THPE-certified “Les Vignes d’Ehden” development, comprising two magnificent duplex townhouses in the charming commune of Anières.
